Featured product deep-dive: Sua Young BB Cream

23 Jan

We’ve been getting a LOT of inquiries about this BB Cream. Good news is that we got another shipment so now it’s back in stock! HOORAY. (For those of you waiting for the Caolion Pore Masks, we have you on the wait-list and we are in the process of getting restocked so we will do our best to fulfill your requests soon!).

So! To try to answer a lot of the questions that came through, we’ll talk more about the product’s main benefits.

Why do we like it?

We explain a bit on our site on the Peach and Lily Take section, but to highlight the main reasons, here are two key reasons that keep us going back to this BB Cream:

1) Ingredients: or more specifically, what this BB Cream does NOT contain. No nasties, but most importantly, no TALC. All you folks out there with sensitive skin (or an aversion to irritating your skin – im raising my hand for this one), talc is a key irritant but also unfortunately a key ingredient in most powders and bb creams.  You know how Bare Minerals, Bare Escentuals etc are gentle on the skin because it’s mineral-based and doesn’t include talc? Same concept except in a BB Cream. And also, filled with anti-aging ingredients. Basically, BB Cream doesn’t really get much better than this in terms of not irritating or harming the skin, even those with sensitive skin.

2) How it looks: LOVE LOVE LOVE how it looks on. Rare to find a product that has a stellar ingredient list AND looks good on AND feels good AND smells good. And when we find one like that, we keep it. I’ll post some before and after pictures tomorrow (so sorry, in Asia at the moment for Peach and Lily, and it’s 3:52 am here and not only way past my bedtime, but I’m already all washed up 🙂 ) So I have dry skin with slight eczema. I love BB Cream for the coverage (bad bags under eyes) but I always got frustrated that it would cause my skin to get drier and cause some flakiness or cakiness. Not cute whatsoever. So I used to wear BB Cream just under the eyes for the bags and then use a gentle powder for the rest of the face. This BB Cream is AMAZING in that it hydrates well as it provides coverage. So it gives me this all-day flawless dewy look. It looks like I just washed my face and pat it towel-dry (you know that refreshed, dewy look) except the skin looks flawless with the coverage. I get so many compliments when I wear this, which is everyday for 2 months now. Beyond how it looks, it feels light and airy, which is important to me. I can’t do a whole day in heavy makeup. Finally, it smells really luxurious, like a high-end spa.

So hopefully, this answers the questions you all had about this BB Cream. If you have more questions, leave a comment!

Happy shopping and a big cheers to always radiant skin!

As promised, here’s my before and after picture. Constantly being sleep deprived has made undereye bags a bit of an everyday unfortunate accessory. By the way, the bags don’t even look that bad in this picture, but in person it’s a bit more bluish 😦 but fear not! Sua Young BB Cream to the rescue. .  Isn’t the difference pretty remarkable? I didn’t touch up the photos at all and kept lighting and angle as similar as possible. And I don’t look cakey or flakey while getting great coverage. Seriously, love this BB Cream for giving me that instant pepped up look.

Hi, this is my first time visiting your website. I would like to ask if I’m Asian but have darker skin tone, my bare mineral foundation says medium beige, would this bb cream be too light for me? I don’t want to have my face looking a lot lighter than the rest of my body skin tone cuz it’d look weird.
